Giving

2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us to, Decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.

Tithes and Offerings

To be good stewards of what God has given us, we must decide how to save, spend, and give. Godly giving is generally divided into two categories: Tithes and Offerings

The Bible teaches that we should worship the Lord by giving a tithe (or tenth) from the first fruits of our income. Deuteronomy 14:23 says that God’s purpose in asking us to tithe is to teach us to always put Him first in our lives. It is a reminder that He is the supplier of everything we have.  This ten percent of our income should be contributed on a consistent basis to the church you attend regularly. An offering is anything given beyond that, but not in place of the tithe.

Stewardship

Churches have a responsibility to both God and its members. The ministry of Back Roads Church is funded by God’s provision through the tithes and offerings of its faithful members and attenders. We honor God’s provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of BMZ Church remains beyond reproach. We believe that we have a responsibility to do the work of God in the world by reaching out in our communities and around the world with the Gospel, to feed the poor, and to care for the least of these (see Matthew 25:40), to the glory of God (see 1 Corinthians 10:31). When you give tithes and offerings to BMZ Church, you will receive financial giving statements quarterly and annually.

Ways to Give

Automated

An Automated Giving Form allows you to easily elect the amount and frequency of your giving. Automated Giving is the easiest and most effective way to automate your giving. Once it is set up, you may update or change your giving at any time by simply contacting the BMZ office.

Bill Pay

If you have BillPay set up with your local bank, then you can set up a one-time or recurring donation right from your bank’s internet banking service. The payment will come to us in the form of a check from your bank with all of your information, so we can make sure to record your donation.

Envelope

You can use the envelope you receive in worship during worship each week to give cash, check, debit/credit card, or to set up automated giving. You can also drop the completed postage-paid envelope in the mail the later.

Online

Give online by using Secure Online Giving to set up your one-time or recurring gift from your debit or credit card. You can give without setting up an account, but if you choose to set up an account, you can log in to make changes to your recurring giving options at any time.

A Note About Credit Cards

While we allow the use of credit cards as a convenient way to give, we discourage the irresponsible use of credit cards.
